I made this community to fill a need I had myself - with the hope that a few people might join and I would have a place to check every morning and be up to date. I did not expect to see this many people here this quickly.

I guess my thought is, how can we continue to grow this community? Lemmy at the moment has a lot of problems in terms of user experience. This community is hosted on sopuli.xyz, I chose this instance almost at random when signing up, but I felt the the people and rules here seemed good. This instance was one of the most popular when I signed up last week and it also doesn’t seem to be too far into one of the political extremes like the other large instances. I think this gives us a good chance to be discovered by folks from other instances.

Personally, I don’t know what my long term relationship with Reddit will be, as 90% of the time I’m on reddit I’m using Boost. And since you are all here I’m sure you all know the official mobile app can be best described as… obnoxious and frustrating.
