Louisiana purchase was approx $18/mi². 1 mi² = 640 acre, so 900 acres was $25. No inflation calculator goes back that far, but I don’t think $25 then was worth $500,000 now
Edit: no idea how reliable https://www.officialdata.org/us/inflation/1803?amount=25 is, but it claims $25 then is $681 now
I meant half a milly for just a house, you ain’t getting 900 acres.
